Established in November, 2013, Pré-sal Petróleo operates on three major fronts: managing production sharing contracts, managing oil and natural commercial activities and representing the Federal Government on unitization agreements.

The Company”s high-caliber team comprises professionals with extensive oil & gas expertise. These professionals are responsible for providing technical analysis to inform decision-making and maximize results from Pre-Salt operations for the Federal Government.

The company is staffed by highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, who are in charge of producing technical analyses to guide decision-making processes and maximize pre-salt economic results for the Federal Government.

The company counts with 62 at-will appointed employees and shall have up to 150 public employees hired by means of public tenders of tests or of tests and titles.

Pré-Sal Petróleo participates in industry events and promotes lectures to publicize its role within society. The company”s performance is measured by its “Strategic Planning”, an instrument created to evaluate its project portfolio.

Since August, 2014, Pré-Sal Petróleo is headquartered at Edificio Empresarial Centro Rio – RB1, 4th floor, located at Praça Mauá, in the Rio de Janeiro dockland zone. In 2015, the office in Brasília was set up.
